Peek-a-boo Pockets

I had a fun idea or adaption to one of my favorite skirt patterns. Peek-a-boo pockets! These cute little pockets can store lip gloss, tissues, money, or hidden treasures. We also made the skirt a bit fuller than the original, and added an attached petticoat. Gosh I love that petticoat chiffon!

I also purchased a cover stitch machine, that I am loving! It is so neat for use with knits. I have been experimenting with the double fold binder attachment. It took me HOURS to figure out because the instructions were so dang vague. I love learning new things though, keeps life interesting.

Excuse the indoor photos, not my best work, but the kids wanted to stay warm!

(Well, she does actually like me, she just has to put up with wearing whatever I find in the store!)

  2. Awe, you are the sweetest cousins around! Thanks girls, but I am sure you are amazing with anything you put your mind to. I know you are both fantastic mothers any child would be lucky to have :).

  3. I LOVE your Tess skirt pattern. My daughter is actually wearing on I made today :)
You are an amazing designer. The pettiskirt is so cute. I've never messed with chiffon. How did you make it? I assume you attached it to the bottom of the top tier.

  4. Amy, I did attach the pettiskirt to the waistband tier. The pettiskirt is also tiered. I am planning on doing an eBook for it because it is fuller, and a little different than the Tess skirt. I might confuse everyone otherwise! I really hope to get it done in March, if time allows!
